2025 - Walk, Run or Cycle

On the road again...
On the road again...

Tater Tots

Hello,

Some of you may be aware that I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year.  It has been a challenging process.  I have most of it behind me, will finish treatment in September and am now cancer free.  I am amazed at the kindness shown to me by family and friends and community.  The Lafayette center in Brewer is very impressive, the staff are excellent.  I have met some wonderful people both fellow patients and people helping us patients.  This walk is one way for me to pay it forward and help others going thru treatment.  Please consider sponsoring me and my sister's "Tater Tots" team for the August 16th 5K walk in Brewer, Me.

Each year, thousands of people in our communities come together with a shared purpose. What do they have in common? They all believe that Maine people deserve to have advanced cancer care services available as close to home as possible.

We believe that by working together, cancer doesn’t stand a chance. Champion the Cure Challenge is how we make a difference. The Challenge is the only event in our region whose sole purpose is to support local cancer research and patient care. The money we raise will stay in our communities to fund care and research at the Lafayette Family Cancer Institute and Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center.

We’re proud to be part of a community that’s committed to defeating cancer in Maine because we know that together, we can do great things for those affected by cancer. Will you join us?
