The Challenge is the only event in our region whose sole purpose is to support local cancer research and patient care. The money we raise will stay in our communities to fund care and research at the Lafayette Family Cancer Institute and Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center.  I’m passionate about fishing, and since my wife, Wendy received such wonderful care at the Lafayette Family Cancer Institute, I decided to Cast for a Cure. Since 2020 I have pledged $3 per fish landed on my boat, the Reel Affair and others have supported my effort with additional pledges. For the 2024 season I am pledging $3 per fish and hope others that know me and knew Wendy will join in this effort. Please consider joining my team or, better yet, setting up a fishing team in the Fishing Challenge for the 2024 season. My fish count is 53 as of May 13.

The Reel Affair Fishing Team has received $2 per fish pledges from Moosehead Marina, Jamo’s Pizza, and SW COLE Engineering.
