2020 Virtual Champion the Cure Challenge

Katahdin Angels

Cancer doesn't stop for Covid, and neither will we! We just need to do it differently - Challenge Accepted!

Katahdin Angels is excited to bring in a new challenge this year - Take a Hike! This will allow any of you to participate at any time and any place that you'd love to explore! All you have to do is join our team, pay the $25 registration fee (you're welcome to donate and/or raise more... really, the more the better to kick cancer's butt!), and if you would like to order yourself a "Take a Hike - Challenge Taken" tshirt or tank, follow this link (coming soon) to order yours! Then, just share a picture of your hike with our Katahdin Angels Facebook page!

Also, as of right now the Battle for a Cure Softball Tournament is set to take place the weekend of August 8-9. We're truly hoping we can still make this happen for 2020. See our 11th Annual Battle for a Cure Softball Tournament Facebook event page to stay up-to-date on happenings there!

Each year, thousands of people in our communities come together with a shared purpose. What do they have in common? They all believe that Maine people deserve to have advanced cancer care services available as close to home as possible.

We believe that by working together, cancer doesn’t stand a chance. Champion the Cure Challenge is how we make a difference. The Challenge is the only event in our region whose sole purpose is to support local cancer research and patient care. The money we raise will stay in our communities to fund care and research at the Lafayette Family Cancer Institute and Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center.

We’re proud to be part of a community that’s committed to defeating cancer in Maine because we know that together, we can do great things for those affected by cancer. Will you join us?
